Birding with Becky: Bird for the Great Backyard Bird Count - Saturday, Feb 15, 10:30 am-12 pm

Meander along a 0.25 mile path watching and identifying birds.  We will finish by submitting the data to the Great Backyard Bird Count.  

• Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring your binoculars.
• Location: Water Works Park- Peninsula Pavilion- 2025 Munroe Falls Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221

In-Store Program: Wolves - Saturday, Feb 22, 5-6 pm

Join us for an eye-opening journey into the world of North American Gray Wolves! From their dramatic recovery story to their recent return to Colorado's wilderness, discover how these magnificent predators are shaping our landscapes.

Get the latest updates on wolf programs across the continent, including developments in Yellowstone, the Great Lakes, and ongoing update from Colorado.

Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast or simply curious, join the discussion about the future of these remarkable animals and learn how humans and wolves can coexist.

Program speaker: Todd Cartner is an Ohio native with a background in engineering and computer science from the University of Akron. His career includes teaching at his alma mater, engineering work at Goodyear, and 25 years as a scientist at GOJO Industries. In 2023, he transitioned to pursuing his passion: studying bats and wolves, having documented numerous wolf encounters in eastern North America. He serves as an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist and volunteers with various state and local conservation organizations.

Are you ready to learn more about birds and earn prizes along the way? Join our exciting new program designed for bird enthusiasts of all levels.

How it works:

• Attend any WBU Cuyahoga Falls program, walk, or event and earn one credit per activity.
• Bring your Class Record to each activity and the host will validate your attendance.
• Attend enough activities to complete the course. Redeem your Class Record at the store for a prize.
• Complete all three courses for your graduation gift and have your name added to the WBUniversity Honors Society for ultimate bragging rights.
